About Don't Fraud My Texas
AN EDUCATION AND ADVOCACY CAMPAIGN
Supported by professional roofing associations across Texas, DON'T FRAUD MY TEXAS is a deductible fraud education and advocacy campaign created to protect Texas property owners and professional roofing contractors. The campaign’s mission is to raise awareness, help drive action and advocate for enforcement of the property insurance deductible law passed in Texas in 2019 to protect property owners.
WHY DON'T FRAUD MY TEXAS WAS FORMED
Despite the enactment of a new law in 2019 clearly prohibiting the waiving of deductibles, property insurance fraud continues to be an issue in Texas, ultimately hurting property owners and law-abiding roofing contractors.
Seeing the need to raise awareness and provide education and advocacy around this issue, leaders of Texas roofing associations across the state created and funded the Don’t Fraud My Texas campaign.
